2024/25
Design Winners
Our school recently received our second active flag
which shows that we are an active school. The active flag
recognises schools that promote physical activity and
sport. The active committee played a huge part in this by
helping as playground leaders, taking part in marathon
kids and by coming up with ideas for our active week.

Cricket team, Adamstown, recently
won the Leinster league
Congratulations to Aksha and
Christon, who returned from the
Irish National Badminton
Championships in Belfast
recently with 5 medals between
them.
Our 4th classes took part in a Gaelic football blitz
recently with all the Leixlip schools.
Congratulations to our pupils
who are members of the
Confey Under 14 Girls' Gaelic
football team who won the
County final recently.
Tilly and Evelyn displaying the Plaque awarded to our
5th classes for their participation in the INTEL Mini-
scientists exhibition on Thursday 21st November. Well
done to all our 5th class pupils who took part in the
competition.
Congratulations to Donnacha and
Luke from 6th class who, along
with the rest of the Confey U-14
team, won the Kildare Gaelic
football final recently.
Here's Donnacha's account:
"We played Leixlip in the final. At
half-time we were down by 6
points. It was a tough match but
Confey came out with the victory.
Confey Abú!"
5th Class took part in the Intel Mini
Scientist Project
Ellie from 5th class is part of Heart Children
Ireland and is helping raise money for the
charity through the sale of calendars for
2025. Calendars are €10 each and all
proceeds go to Heart Children Ireland.
Ellie has collected for the charity for the past
3 years and loves being part of the team.

Tanmayee from 5th class, whose
designs were chosen as the
winning entries for the front and
back cover of the 2025/26
school journal.
Leixlip Gardaí brought Santa on a visit to the
school in aid of Children's Health Foundation
Ireland - which includes Temple St. and Crumlin
Hospitals and Care Centres at Blanchardstown
and Tallaght Hospitals too.

6th class Room 11 pupils took the train to
Dublin to visit 14 Henrietta St, an 18th
Century House, on their recent History Tour.

Congratulations to our 5th class Team who
represented the school at the INTEL Mini-
Scientists Grand Final in TUD
Blanchardstown recently.

The PA and The Student Council recently held a Bake Sale in
aid of school fundraising and also the Make-A-Wish
Foundation. Thank you to everyone who helped to organise
and to all who took part.
The above are the finalists of the 3rd and 4th class mini-soccer
leagues 2025. Well done to all the pupils who took part in the
competition which has been running since February due to the high
participation rate.
Congratulations to our Girls7-a-side soccer team who
won the Leixlip United Soccer Blitz recently.

This
school
received
a
grant
in
2021
to
implement
initiatives
aimed
at
addressing
the
digital
divide
and
support
our
learners
at
risk
of
educational
disadvantage
as
a
consequence,
as
part
of
the
Irish
National
Recovery
and
Resilience
Plan
(NRRP)
a
project
under
the
Recovery
and
Resilience
Facility
funded
by
the
European
Union
through
NextGenerationEU.
This
funding
was
used
to
purchase
I-Pads
to
support
the
use
of
Digital
Portfolios,
and
provide
opportunities
for
our
pupils
to
develop
their
digital
skills
and
additional
Clever-Touch
interactive
boards
to
enhance
collaborative
computational
thinking,
literacy
and
creativity
amongst
pupils.
Access
to
cloud
based
applications
such
as
Seesaw
and
Study-ladder
provided
additional support for learners.
